Mathand’s story all began in 1979 when George Costner III, our founder, was given an opportunity to venture deeper into the industry. It started when a new manufacturing company focused exclusively on structural rack, formerly known as Konstant. This company wanted to specialize in structural rack solutions.

Konstant no longer wanted to sell to direct employees, but to only sell direct to distributors. As part of this strategy, Konstant subsidized George to leave his previous employer and establish a dedicated distributor for Konstant rack products. This is when Mathand Inc was started and created. After a few years running solo, in 1994 George’s son, Damon Costner, joined Mathand to help his father grow the company further. Together, they navigated the ever-evolving material handling industry, and together they built a legacy grounded in personal touch and relationships.

In 2002, Damon and his wife, Connie, stepped forward to lead Mathand into a new era. Under their guidance, Mathand expanded its reach and grew a reputation far beyond what was once imagined. Today, Mathand stands as a testament to the power of faith and connections with over 45 years of business.
